This project proposes a closet steamer designed for MUJI, a perfect addition to any modern household. The built-in steamer can quickly and easily remove light wrinkles from clothing while eliminating stubborn odours and sanitizing garments. Seamlessly integrated into one's daily routine, this sleek and advanced closet is ideal for busy individuals who want to keep their clothes looking and smelling fresh without spending too much time on maintenance.
Muji (full name: Mujirushi Ryohin) can be translated to “no brand quality goods”. A retail company originating from Japan which sells a wide variety of household consumer items, furniture, clothing and food products. Muji is most well-known for its philosophy of functional, quality design with a Japanese minimalistic aesthetic, offered at a reasonable price. The brand turns the focus towards the product and does away with any unnecessary decoration or ornamentation. Everything about the brand, from its minimalistic logo, packaging and store design, embodies “Less is More”. Muji is also known to be the precedent of the current “Marie Kondo” trend of decluttering and keeping organized

Muji launched a single-storey prefabricated home called Yo no le or Plain House. Yo no le is a compact single-story home with no division. In keeping with the brand’s minimalist aesthetic, all MUJI Houses are designed with open layouts to give homeowners the freedom to configure the space.

Closet Steamer Extended
A steam closet or clothes manager, half the size of the built-in steamer, heats water, channelling steam toward the wrinkled fabric to relax its fibres and eliminate wrinkles. The minimal design and size allow the machine to be placed anywhere the user desires.
